Why Do You Think It'll Never Happen……
My little children wrapped up tight,
What is to become of this worldly plight?
A lot has changed since I was a child,
When this worldly place was more tender and mild.
Reading the paper and T.V. switched on,
Bad news after bad all day long,
Famine and killing is all that we see,
Why do you think it'll never happen to me?
Brother killing brother in a war zone place,
Why do you do it we're all Allah's race,
Women and children are getting killed too,
Why do you think it'll never happen to you?
Men and women killing our children of tomorrow,
Taking away their innocence leaving scars of sorrow,
Too much violence in the world we see,
Why do you think it'll never happen to me?
Victims of violence in the grave they're not to blame,
The families of victims will never be the same,
Close your eyes and imagine being all alone,
Why do you think it'll never happen to your own?
Famine and disease in the world at bay,
Will these people live to see another day?
The richer get rich and poorer get poor
All these people want is a chance of life nothing more.
In an ideal world we'll all have peace,
All the world's famine and violence would cease,
But this isn't an ideal worldly place,
Sickness of the minds comes from shaytans grace
Harmony is something we should yearn for and pray,
Because all these things could happen to you someday,
Why do you think this could not happen to you?
Next time you could become one of the chosen few,
Live each day with Allah by your side,
From your chosen path you cannot hide,
Stop hurting each other and charity give,
Let someone else have a chance to live.
