My Journey Into Islam

  I knew about Islam from a neighbour next door,
  This made me take a look at myself more,
  I used to party all of the night,
  Not knowing about this hidden delight.

  Every lesson I used to ignore,
  But now I only want to find out more,
  No more dancing away the night,
  All I see now are my prayers in sight.

  Then I met a man on the street,
  Who some say swept me off my feet,
  Then I met him again one night,
  Since then I have seen the light.

  Then we got married with no if, but or maybe,
  A year later we had a baby,
  A son and a daughter oh how this is sweet,
  Is it Allah's will that my families complete?

  A revert to Islam this is me,
  Learning from the knowledge tree,
  A Muslim we all are born,
  But in life we get lost and torn.

  When we come back we are strong,
  Insha'Allah we do right and not wrong,
  We have to do our share of good deeds,
  Our mission in life is to sow the seeds.

  In Allah's oneness I believe,
  The Holy Qur'an we must not leave,
  The Prophet {s.a.w} was our guide,
  Insha'Allah in Jannah we'll reside.

  For Allah works miracles inside,
  And from Him only we cannot hide,
  We must submit to his demands,
  For a better life living in His lands.

  For life is a test from Allah to you,
  We must give it our best to pull through,
  We all become weak and come back strong,
  We must as for forgiveness as lifes not long.

  So pray and worship Allah, our Lord,
  Don't forget our tongues are our swords,
  From Paradise we don't want to part,
  Let's have Iman and love in our hearts.
